Dr. Warren,

I wanted to write you since it has been several months since you have solved my Presbyopia challenges. My journey started in my early 40’s and I used a soft contact in one eye to get good closeup focus (monovision). Unfortunately, as my Presbyopia continued to progress, I was eventually left very dissatisfied in the quality/range of closeup correction using monovision (basically – you have to pick good focus for 1 distance (Opt A-book distance ok but not computer screen…or Opt B – book distance bad but computer screen ok). This is all due to the natural growth of Presbyopia over time leaving a larger closeup zone out of focus. Eventually, my arms won’t be long enough without using reading glasses. Also, the quality of my focus was deterioriating. I wanted a good focus from 13 to 24 inches and saw 3 other OD’s before I landed in your office. Each OD tried a few contacts and eventually gave up on me and said it was impossible to gain good closeup to mid-distance focus again using mono-vision. I did NOT want reading glasses and already had excellent distance vision. I almost gave up until I becamse aware of your office and your specializing in difficult contact lens cases.

There is so much to thank you for. 1) You listened and understood(respected) my needs [past OD’s always made me feel inferior] 2) I felt like you partnered with me to try various solutions [as you know, we tried a variety of potiential solutions looking for the right one] 3) You were so considerate and demonstrated tremendous patience thru it all [I was glad you did not give up on me!] 4) I should also mention that you have a great sense of humor which lightens the atmosphere.

After 3 months using our final solution…the consistent results are …WOW!!!!... fantastic. The custom WAVE multi-focal mono-vision contact allows me full, very sharp focus in the range of 13 to 24 inches which allows super clear reading of books, newspapers, the computer screen, or any other closeup activities. Also, this contact is super comfortable and I know the DK value using the very latest XO2 material will keep my eye super healthy. The sharpness of my eyesight for this closeup range is like what it was in my 20’s and 30’s. No READING glasses for me. In fact, I was just at a 4 day conference with thick reference manual with small print. While everyone else was constantly picking up their reading glasses, the manual was always in focus for me. This is a real quality of life improvement for me…every minute of every day…all the time.. THANKYOU. THANKYOU. THANKYOU.
